No New Posts Green Woods

The trees and plants here are all different shades of green. Moss grows on everything, and even the lake on the edge of the territory is a green color, though it is actually quite clean. Temperatures are comfortable and warm, and although it rains about once every week or two, the air is very humid, but cool in the mornings, usually clearing up later in the day.

No New Posts Aroma Breeze Lands

Although it is the smallest herd territory in all of Amanija, at about 400 feet in length, this is quite a nice place to live. A pond, covered in lilypads of all shapes, sizes, and colors, and surrounded by catails is in the center of this territory. Japanese cherry blossom (or "sakura") trees, along with several other flowering trees can be found here. The trees are not thick enough to be called a woodland, but not spacious enough to be called a meadow or grassland. This herd territory get's it's name from the sweet, delicate scent that lingers in the area, along with the gentle breeze. A few fallen logs and some medium-large sized rocks provide places for animals to rest, along with the foot-high grass. For animals no bigger than a rat, this is an excellent home.

If you are a land animal wanting to live in this herd, you had best know how to swim extremely well or hitch a ride with a large ocean creature. The waves are rough and the only patch of land is 50 miles from the shore. Flying creatures and marine animals will love this place. The islands are odd shapes; A full moon, a crescent moon, a star, and three long, narrow, wavy lines side by side. Food is plentiful on the island and in the water. A pond of fresh water rests on the island, although there is no shelter. The coral reefs in the water around the area are beautiful.

No New Posts Waterfall Canopy

This land is full of luscious plants and fruits. It never seems to stop raining, which is why this rainforest is called "waterfall" canopy. The second meaning to the name is that there is a large waterfall in the river. The view from the top of the waterfall is gorgeous.

No New Posts Crystal Caverns

Sitting in the middle of a large rainforest is a huge rock formation that looks much like ruins from the human world. There is one main entrance on the ground, and several secret entrances hidden both on top of the flat rocks and in the sides of the formation. Both the top of the rock formation and inside of it belong to the same herd, although, the inside is what makes it amazing. Walking through the entrance to the caves of the rock formation, one would find that the passage leads deep, deep underground. The cave is small and narrow in some spots, and big enough for a whale in others. There are tons of different passages, and one could easily become lost. However, if you follow the right path, you will find yourself in an amazing cavern where gems line the walls. A huge, crystal clear lake sits in this dead-end cavern. Vines climb up the walls, growing from the scarce light let in through a small hole in the ceiling several hundred feet above. At night, when the light of the moon is just right, for one hour, the gems in the walk sparkle brilliantly and the lake looks like glass. Smaller gems in the wall that cannot be seen with the naked eye catch the light as well, making the cave walls look like they are covered in glitter. What's more, a half-foot wide stream lines both sides of the walls from the entrance, all the way to this lake, connecting into it. As if that weren't enough, there is another amazing secret here. If one dives into the 10 foot deep lake, and turns and looks back the way they came, they can see an amazing underwater world. Under the rock floor where they walked, is a water world several feet wider, and about 300 feet deep. Still more exciting, this area that leads all the way back to the entrance has tunnels in the underground rock wall that even large fish such as sharks can swim into to find hundreds of passages, as with all the different land passages, although these lead to ones only accessible

No New Posts Glacier Top

As the name suggests, this land is very cold. It is mostly flat tundra, but there is a mountain that sits on the edge of the territory. Half of this snow peaked mountain belongs to this territory, half to another of the Tundarak clan. There is a fresh spring inside a small cave at the side of the mountain.

No New Posts Frosted Forest

Covering the peak of the large mountains that sit in the Glacier Top and Mountain's Descend territory is the herd land of Frosted Forest. A small circular area around the peak, one side of the mountains, and a large area of land on the ground around of the mountain belongs to this Tundarak herd. Although slightly smaller than Glacier Top, this land is larger than most all other herd territories. It gets it's name from the constantly snow-topped pine trees that make up a large forest. A lake sits on the edge of the territory to provide fresh water and cold-water fish to eat. Sometimes the lake is frozen over, though never all the way down. When this happens, one can sometimes dig at the edge of the lake to get a drink. There are no caves for shelter from the cold here, but several pine trees, fallen pine trees, and evergreen bushes provide a resting place for the night.

No New Posts Sinking Ocean

This sea of sand was given the name due to the vast stretch of nothingness. There are a few sink holes, but the name is mostly given because of the way one's body sinks when trying to walk in sand. The temperature here is blistering, and only a few exotic fruits and cacti grow here. Rare, small puddles hold the only water here.

With lots of cliffs, frail plants, blistering heat, and a huge gorge with sharp rocks buried at the bottom of the river, this place is a dangerous land. One slip of footing and you could break your neck from the cliffs. One misplaced step and you could be swallowed by the gorge, the remains of your body swept away by the vicious current. But, the place gets it's name from both the bad, and good that it holds. If one takes the time to learn the safe trails over the cliffs, the area is safe from attack, as it takes one skilled at climbing and with good knowledge of the area to survive. Small caves nearly hidden from view provide fresh water, a safe shelter, and lush plants and fruits that grow without the need of sunlight. It is also one of the largest territories in all of Amanija. Whether you live luxuriously or die painfully is up to fate, it seems.

No New Posts Thorntree Hollow

Thorntree Hollow is a land of the dead. Both trees and grass have had the life sucked out of them due to the sun beating on the land with such intensity during the day. Sandy bars have formed near the small watering hole that is left so that it is a steep walk to get a drink. Hundreds of gnarly trees wave their deadly thorns at passers by, threatening to chuck them away in the slightest breeze. Not much life can survive here among this unforgiving flora, but those that can have become quite adept at it. Food is scarce here, with only cones of pine and perhaps the stray nut that falls from the hands of a squirrel. Berries are abundant near the bases of the trees, but getting past their thorned guardians is no easy task, their twisted branches reach out around the bushes and the ground near them like spider’s webs. They grab hold of anything that gets near them and to escape would mean ripping the flesh from one’s self in their hast be done with it. When darkness falls across the land and the night begins a haunting chill that blows in with it can only be warded off by those in numbers, or who seek shelter in one of the natural underground caves or rodent built burrows.

No New Posts Sky Valley

The wind whips fairly hard through this valley. The hills are topped with tall green grass and scattered with small round bushes no bigger than a domestic dog. There are few trees, but those that are here are large and their branches stretch high, casting shade over a wide area. This is a favored home for lone birds. A small pond is the only source of water.

No New Posts Lost Lands

Full of lush vegetation both in the water and on the land, this swamp is, for the most part, a nice place to live. The water is dark and murky and the surface is completely covered in algae. Despite it's appearance, the water is only 1-8 feet deep and safe to drink, provided there aren't any predators lurking underneath. However, one should watch their footing when walking on the land patches dotting the water or they might step in sinking mud spots, unable to escape as the cold, wet substance covers the nose and throat until death. Lots of fallen logs and coves under the edge of the land patches make great shelters for small animals, if you can handle the smell and the eerie sounds. And be careful not to get lost, as everything looks the same.

No New Posts Mountain's Descent

Mountain's Descent is an interesting area of land. Part of the large, snowy mountains that are within the land of Glacier Top stretch into this area. The very top of the mountains and one side belong to another Tundarak territory, while one side belong to Glacier Top. The rest of the mountains are part of the loner land known as Mountain's Descent. The area is called so because of the steep forest that leads all the way from the base of the mountains to the ocean. Whilst the mountains are covered in snow, there is less and less snow as you make your way down, with no snow at all just past half way down. A wide stream comes down the mountain from just outside Tundarak territory. It's water comes from somewhere inside the mountain that collects water. This stream twists through and down the mountains, down the steep forest, and into the ocean. This makes for an extremely fun ride, though the water is pretty cold. The various trees, plants, and rocks of every size allow for a foothold for one climbing up the forest area, and several caves made up of large rocks that have tumbled off the mountains make good shelter.

No New Posts Mango Island

Mango Island is beautiful place. It's always warm and sunny, and it smells heavenly, thanks to all the fruit growing on the island. There are rocks to sun on, and the warm sand too. Palm trees provide some shade, and a cool breeze often blows through the island. Many kinds of fruit and vegetables grow here, and all of them taste wonderful. Rocks stick up out of the sea, providing a path one can hop across to reach Mango Island without even getting wet. Larger animals may be able to walk on the many other rocks under the ones that go above the surface. This is the favorite place of many animals.

No New Posts The Gathering Shard

The Gathering Shard is a place where meetings of the individual herds in a clan, all clans, or any other specific groups of animals meet to discuss things. The land is flat with soft, dry, dust-like dirt and no vegetation in the main area. There a few trees spread out to provide shade, but not many so that even the biggest of animals may have plenty of room to move. A wide, deep, but quiet river runs at the edge of the area into the ocean which is also close by. Because of this, animals who live on land, in the freshwater, or in the saltwater all have access to this place. A large shard, taller than all of the trees stands straight up in the ground beside the river at the very edge of the area, serving as a land mark one can see from a distance. On the other side of the river, in the main part of the area, is a large, round, flat black stone that the speakers stand on to direct attention to them, though the rock is low to the ground. The rock is huge and in smaller meetings can often fit every animal present on it which is good if the ground is wet from a recent rain.

No New Posts Mirror of Life

A large, natural, rock basin of crystal clear water sits here, under the night sky of the lands between the Vile and the Blessed. When the spirits or Guardians wish to contact the living, they look into the water and concentrate on those they want to talk to. They then wait until the animal falls asleep, at which time they can contact them in their dreams.

If an animal wishes to contact a spirit or Guardian, they need only think it, then go to sleep and the spirit will know. The spirit can then either accept or reject the call.

The Parting is a stream so named because it parts the land of the Vile and the land of the Blessed. The change is abrupt, for on one side it is lush and green, and the other it is barren and dead. This is where animals of the Vile and the Blessed meet. Both here and at the Mirror of Life nearby, it is always night.

This is where all the bad animals who used their life in selfish ways go when they die. It is a cruel, barren place where the animals long for things like peace, water, and food, but nothing good ever comes from here.
