Name: Chirp
Age: 1½
Gender: Male
Clan: Unknown
Herd: Unknown
Mate: none
Friends: none
Family: none
Species: Giant Otter
Physical Description: Chirp is a large sleek otter. His fur is the normal brown on his back and white on his neck and chin. He weighs about one-hundred pounds and is about eight feet long. His eyes are a beautiful blue in color. Chirp’s cute little nose is the color of ebony.
Personality: Chirp loves to play in the tossing waves of the sea and loves to chatter with other creatures. If he finds someone who shares his love of water he can play for hours in the water with them. Chirp is always willing to share everything he has with other creatures. (usually he has nothing but his catch of food)
History: Chirp’s history isn’t much, he lived a happy life with his parents and the other kit in his litter. His littermate, Chip, and he were playing happily one day out in the open ocean, diving down to the bottom of the ocean and coming back up with a clam in their paws. They continued to do this for hours until they grew tired and decided to swim back to shore. As they frolicked on their way back to shore Chip dived under the water and didn’t come back up. Chirp didn’t think anything of it and dove under the water to look for her. What he saw under water was a horrifying sight. His sister was floating slowly through the water, headless. He gave a small shriek of fright as an orca suddenly swam in to finish it’s meal of his sister. Chirp turned and swam the other way as fast as he could. He reached shore just in time, for the orca lunged at the spot that he had been a second ago. Later that day Chirp’s mother and father decided that it was time to move on to keep the pod of orcas from wiping the entire family out. They weren’t sure where they were going, but they were traveling as far away from the orcas as they could. One day Chirp got separated from his family. He still isn’t sure how it happened. The Giant Otter traveled for days looking for his lost family, but to no avail. He lived for another year alone until he reached a new place. A new home that felt right to him.
