To help make things easier and answer some questions that have either already been asked, or things I think people are a little confused about, I've made this FAQ. If you have anything you think should be added to this list, please let me know.
Q: What is the difference between a Clan and Herd?
A: A clan is much like a herd, however, the difference is that there are more than one herd in each clan. Every herd in a single clan are allies. The different herds may have different rules, but they all try to work together. Members of a herd follow their herd leader, whilst there are no clan leaders. Animals who have joined a clan, yet who have not joined a herd, are expected to treat all members of that clan nicely, although they have no specific rules to follow.
Q: But I only see one board in each Clan.....
A: Instead of adding all the herds at once, I decided to only add one to each clan. After these are all claimed, or when most of them are claimed, I will add more lands.
Q: Can an animal like a mouse or an insect be a herd leader?
A: Yes. Any animal can be a herd leader, no matter their size. Small animals will likely want to recruit some larger animals to be their "bodyguards."
Q: What if a mouse who is a herd leader gets into a fight with an animal that clearly has an advantage in battle, like a fox, who is also a herd leader?
A: Animals follow a strict rule of respect and equality in Amanija. If it comes to the two fighting, usually, they will be fair about things and allow a more evenly matched animal to fight the other. Sometimes, they'll instead have some kind of contest of wisdom or a race or anything else to decide the winner.
Q: What if the fox refuses these laws?
A: If the animal who has the advantage refuses to make things more even, then it is likely most all animals in their herd, in the opposing herd, and even ones who are not in a herd will turn on the fox and banish him from the land in punishment.
Q: If a tiger is a herd leader and it wants a ladybug to have a warrior position, how does that work?
A: Well, they'll usually want to pick the animals that could do best in a fight. However, if the ladybug is extremely intelligent and came plan things out well, or maybe it can fly really fast and distract the enemy, etc then it could still have it's uses in the warrior position.
Q: How do you pronounce the clans?
A: Maninjara-Man-in-jar-uh; The words, "man", "in", "jar", and an "uh" sound.
Sasukaeill-sa-soo-kay-ill; "sa" like "horse saddle", "soo" like "a lady wanted to sue McDonalds", "kay" like "okay", and "ill" like someone who's sick.
Zilanthin-Zil-an-thin; "Zil" like "ill" with a z in front of it, "an" like the name "Ann", "thin" like "not fat but thin"
Tundarak-Toon-dar-ak; "toon" like "cartoon" or "tune a music instrument", "dar" like "dark", and "ak" like "acknowledge"
Deterahn-Dee-tair-in; "dee" like "bee" with a d instead of b, "tair" like a t in front of the word "air" or like "tear a piece of paper", and "in" like the word "in." The a in Deterahn is not pronounced. It is not pronounced dee-tair-uh-in. It's dee-tair-in.
Q: How can animals of every continent be in Amanija?
A: The Guardians and the animals are not sure. No one inside of the role play knows. Outside of the role play, I can let you in on the secret. Amanija is a magical land, and it's unknown how it was formed/created, etc. But, whenever an animal has need of it such as they've experienced the problems of this world, it appears before them in the distance. They don't see it appear because it appears far enough off that they can't see it. But, if they keep going they will reach it. A few other animals come across it even if they haven't experience bad things because the land, in a sense, has a mind of it's own and it wants all animals to be happy within it's boarders. It doesn't appear to all animals mostly for the reason that that could cause some problems role playing. There are plenty of other reasons, depending on how you look at it. For one, the humans would probably all die out if all the animals were gone and Amanija doesn't want that to happen either.
Q: What is a VIP?
A: A VIP is loyal VB member. They are safe from activity checks and they may have more benefits in the future. All staff and mentors are VIP with the exception of the newest staff and mentors. Being a staff member or mentor does not automatically make you a VIP. It's just that staff and mentors are usually picked by trusted members, there for, people that are already VIPs or near VIP status.
Non-VIP staff & mentors: NĂ½χ, Rawr!__
Q: How do I become a VIP?
A: There is no specific way to become one. The admin or a co-admin will make you one when they feel you are ready. The best way is to be active, make lots of non-spam posts, role play a lot, help members when they have questions, share your ideas to make VB better with staff, follow the rules, chat and get to know people, advertise a lot, refer people, and in general just be a loyal member of Vital Breath. You don't have to do all of these to be a VIP, these are just some things that the VIP usually do.
Q: Why don't you just make the requirement a certain number of posts?
A: Making the requirement be a certain number of posts, or anything specific, leads to spamming.
