In honor of Vital Breath's first birthday, everyone is eligible to receive a free surprise item revolving around a new OoC feature that is soon to come. In order to receive this free prize, you must make a post in this thread wishing Vital Breath a happy birthday. (It doesn't have to be fancy, just wish the site a happy birthday!)

Okay, so we've been inactive for a while now. I thought up some ideas that I was hoping would improve the sight, then I looked back at all the sites I've owned or co-owned in the past and remember how I would put a ton of work into cool new ideas and advertise like crazy, only for the site to stay inactive, and the few active members we had not bothering to participate in the new activities. Because of this, I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go through with my ideas, or if I should just let the site die. Well, I've decided that I really don't want this site to die. Some sites have a plot or theme that is best set for only a small amount of people. With ours having several clans and several herds in each, the number of role players that our site could accommodate, still fitting with the plot, is very large; well into the hundreds, and I can always add more herds, maybe even clans, if needed. My vision is to see this site full of active members who are one big family and who enjoy role playing here. To see the herds we have with many members in role play. For everyone to add their creative ideas and allow interesting plots to create themselves. For all this to happen, we need to do a couple of things.
First, we need to advertise a lot and continue to do so, even if this site gets a lot of activity. Second, we need to put our brains together and come up with some cool ideas for plots, activities and contests, items for the shop, or anything else we can think up. Third, we need to get some good, active staff members so the work doesn't all fall on a couple staff members; the more we have, the more we can accomplish in a short amount of time. And finally, we need our current members and members we shall gain in the future to be active, fun, helpful, and have a love for this site.
So, where do we start?
Well, first I'm going to sent out a mass email to warn everyone, then we will have an activity check of sorts. The way it will work is that members who have never made a single post (except for those that are new and have only been here for 2 weeks or less) will be deleted, as they probably aren't going to come back. If they want to keep their account, they need only to make a post SOMEWHERE, such as in this thread. The other part of the activity check is this; all role play threads, no matter how much progress has been made in them, will be moved to the archives on July 20th, which is when I will also delete inactive members. However, I know there are threads that are of importance or that you just don't want to end. So, any thread you would like to keep past July 20th, you need only to mention (with a link) in this thread, or through pm to me. If you don't contact me before July 20th, it will be moved to the archives. If after this date you contact me, I can move it back out of the archives. You don't need a reason to keep the thread, you just need to let me know that you still want to rp in it. Simple.
Normally, I'd give a few weeks notice for this, but I want to put all these things into action quickly. Unfortunately, I don't have the plans for VB's birthday celebration ready, so, the birthday celebration will begin on July 20th, immediately after the activity check, and will continue through the rest of the month, ending at midnight on July 31st.

Also, if you advertise, from now on, please post with a link to the sites you advertised here. Previously, I asked for them to be pmed to me, but this way other members can see where you advertised even before I have time to edit the first post. Make sure when you advertise to check any posts by members there, along with the first post so that we don't advertise twice on the same site. When the first post has been edited with the link to the sites where you advertise, your post will be deleted to keep the thread clean. Feel free to post banners, buttons, and more there as well.
And remember, ideas for anything at all on the site are ALWAYS welcome!
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the exception to the threads being sent to the archives is the main plot thread. That should have been fairly obvious though.
