NOTICE!!! I'm leaving

This is a post to let you know that I'm leaving the site. I do not have the time for it and I have lost my interest in it. I still enjoy the setting I created for this site and I occasionally write some short stories using it, but I don't have to interest in this site itself any more. I'm very busy lately as it is and next month I plan on getting a part time job which will only add to my schedule. I could make time for this site if I left other sites and things I enjoy doing, but this is the one I've chosen to let go of. It's been a lot of fun but I don't really have the time to role play much any more.

I'm sorry to leave you all like this, but I've thought about it and I believe this to be the best plan of action for me. So, I am leaving two choices for the rest of you.

1. I will leave the site as a free range site. Characters will not have to be accepted and everyone can pretty much just role play on their own. This would mean there may be people that don't completely follow the rules, like they may create a unicorn or something that isn't allowed, but the people role playing can either choose to NOT role play with such people (if they post in your thread, you could just ignore them) or you can choose to go ahead and role play with them.

Or 2. I will give the site to someone on here. I would not be giving my admin account away however. The person would be given full admin powers except for those that only the admin account can have. If they would be in need of those powers, they could contact me and I would use these powers how they ask.



Please vote for which option you want.

Also, if anyone would like to role play with me one on one they can pm me and I will give you my email so we can role play over email. We could role play using the settings from VB or we could do an entirely different genre. However, be aware that I may be slow replying so don't expect a reply every day.

I will no longer be replying to rp threads on here (if I am in one, just pretend my character left.) I will stay for a while though to find out which option everyone wants, etc. And even after I leave I may check in every so often just to see how it's going.

How many of you would want me to stay still even if I don't role play at all (only just keep the site running) or possibly role play VERY little? And perhaps find some staff members? As I've said many times, staff positions are open.

If I had some more staff to help and I didn't role play much, I may have the time to stay here. However, I don't want to put what little time I have into it if people are going to keep going inactive like they have been.

So, are at least some of you really going to stay active? Would you check in on the site every few days, even if they're hasn't been posts in a while? Would you wait patiently for your rp partners to post, instead of just disappearing like they did? I understand that not everyone can be super active. I'm not mad about it. But I'm sure you can understand that I don't want to put my time into something if people are going to come on, make a single character, make 2 or 3 rp posts, then disappear, like 99% of the members this site has ever had do.

I really don't know , but if you must leave then simply give another admin the duty of keeping the site going.

I've thought about it and my answer is officially: I'm not staying. So far, no one has offered to take control of the site. If Darkscale gets on, I may discuss this with her. From what I hear, she's pretty busy herself, but I know she'd be a great lead admin. My account will be staying and I will still check in every so often. If anyone would like to take the site or would like to keep in contact with me send me a pm. If you want to keep in contact I can give you my email address.

Until I find someone to take the site, I'll be leaving it as is. So for now, anyone who submits a character profile may start role playing WITHOUT someone accepting it. Please be aware, however, that when a new admin comes they will probably want to go through the profiles and may ask you to make a few changes. But until then, go ahead and rp.

I'll do it, at least until Darkscale or anyone else comes back. By the way I have a character in the Character Profiles section, he hasn't been excepted after three days, I believe this has some thing to do with everyone suddenly leaving.

As I said, I won't be accepting profiles any more. Feel free to role play with characters as soon as you post them.

It really is hard for me to leave this site. Even though I keep switching back and forth between "I'm staying" and "I'm leaving" I still really can't decide. As I've said before, if I just had more staff members, I might be able to stay anyway.

Despite the fact that I just said I am definitely leaving, maybe I'll spend a little more time thinking about it. >.<

I'll make you an admin for now, alucard. Just make sure everything is within the site rules. I may not do much in the next couple of days, but I'll give myself one last chance to think about this site.
