Many of the rule in this thread are common sense, but I like to be very thorough. -:-The Basics-:- [+] Respect all members and staff members
[+] One account per person. There's really no need for more.
[+] No mini-modding. If someone breaks the rules, simply report it to a moderator.
[+] No spamming. If you have something to add, modify your previous post. Double posting is allowed in some OoC areas such as graphics threads or rule/explanation threads. If you spam in order to increase your post count or Berries (our site currency) your spam posts will be deleted and your post and Berry count reduced.
[+] Do not argue with a staff member. If you think they were unfair, contact the main admin.
[+] Please sign up with an actual email. Staff occasionally contact members by sending out mass emails warning of activity checks and such.
[+] Please do not create an account if you will not be able to post at least once a week. This does not mean you have to post once a week, but if you know you will not be able to be active, please do not create an account. If you create an account, then something comes up later and you will not be able to get on much, that is different.
[+] Do not post off topic. Post in the correct board, in the appropriate thread.
[+] No cursing in character or out of character.
[+] Do not post or discuss anything sexual, pornographic, illegal, harassing, etc. Obey the proboards ToS.
[+] Do not use chatspeak in or out of character. You may use things like brb, g2g, lol, etc out of character only.
[+] Password is doughnut.
[+] Use proper spelling and grammar to the best of your abilities in and out of character. There is a spell check button. You have no excuse for miss spelled words (except for words the spell checker doesn't know or a word you can't spell at all right so it doesn't know which one you mean. Those things just happen.)
[+] If you have not posted for two months and your character is the only herd leader in their herd, they may lose that position. The reason for this is because the only way for someone to join the herd is with the herd leader's permission. If the herd leader never logs on, they can't give anyone permission. Please do not claim a herd territory if you are not going to be active. If you post and let us know ahead of time that you will be gone and how long you will be gone for, we will make an exception.

-:-Role Play-:- [+] No god-moding, power-playing, or mary sues. Your character cannot be indestructible and dodge every attack if they get in a fight. You cannot control another members character. You cannot have a perfect character.
[+] Liquid time is allowed, meaning you can be in more than one thread at once with the same character. However, please try to keep all of your threads active and don't neglect posting in one.
[+] Try to give everyone a chance to post. If you are in a thread with two other people and you are waiting on person one to post, you may skip them a few times, but give them a chance. If they have not been logged on for a long period of time, feel free to continue.
[+] Use parenthesis (( )) or some other form of OoC. Also, try to limit the amount of OoC in your posts. If you need to, pm the person you are role playing with. Do not make posts that are only OoC in role playing threads.
[+] Breeding cannot be graphic.
[+] No force breeding.
[+] Again, no cursing. You may, however, post something such as "she swore loudly" out of character only. Do not post exact words.
[+] The first password is fake. The second password is the right one for the character profiles board.
[+] Keep violence PG-13 or below. If a thread involves a fair amount of blood or gore, put a (V) in the topic title for violence.
[+] Do not kill another character without the owner's permission.
[+] It is recommended that you use quotes (") and bold when your character is speaking, and italics when your character is thinking. You may use something else instead but give some clear indication as to dialogue and thoughts.
[+] Use good judgment in fights and try to avoid fights between tigers and mice or anything else where one character is way out matched.
[+] Role play posts must be at least 150 words long. There is a word counter at the below the preview and spell check button. Use it. Occasional shorter posts are allowed. If you are new to role playing, we will not enforce this rule on you, so long as you are making an effort.

-:-Characters-:- [+] All animal species may be role played. This includes wild, domestic, insects, birds, fish, marine, dinosaurs, prehistoric, and other extinct animals.
[+] Dinosaurs and extinct animals have always lived in Amanija,
[+] Crossbreeding and hybrid species are allowed, but be realistic. A lion can produce offspring with a leopard, but a lion cannot produce offspring with a cougar. If you are unsure of certain hybrids, try researching it on google.
[+] If you want your to breed your character with another character, you must buy the Passion Fruit item from the shop, then pm a co-admin or the main admin. You may not breed two of your own characters.
[+] No homosexual or bisexual relationships.
[+] Animals should not have odd colors or markings. Odd eye colors are allowed, however.
[+] Any animal can have an odd eye color like white, purple, or red. However, if you would like your animal's eye color to be more complex, you must buy a Beautiful Pigment from the shop. This will allow you to have each eye a different color, half of the eye one color and half another, stripes, spots, etc. Most anything you can come up with. They will not make your eyes pupil-less, demon like, glow, etc. They only affect the color and patterns. You can use this item on an existing animal or use it when creating a new animal. If you do not have this item, both eyes must be the same color and can only be one color.
[+] Animals may not have wings, jewelry, clothes, powers, etc. They may not be super huge or super small. Animals here should be realistic.
[+] Although certain mutations do happen in the wild, such as animals with two or more heads/faces, extra legs, etc., said animals will not be role played here.
[+] Animals that are blind, deaf, born with three legs, etc., may be role played.
[+] Your animal must be a normal, common color for it's species. If you would like your animal to be albino, melanistic, leucistic, or another rare coloring (maltese tiger, golden tabby tiger, white tiger, etc) you must buy the Expensive Dye item from the shop. The item can only be used on a new character. You can't use it on an existing character. Even if you use this, your animal must be a normal color. You can't use it to play a purple tiger with green stripes.
[+] Since we do not know what color prehistoric animals, they may be any color without using the dye, so long as it is reasonable. For example, don't make a t-rex that has pink swirls and black skull markings. The dye may not be used on prehistoric animals.
[+] You may have as many characters as you like. However, you may only create 2 animals of extinct species for free. If you want more, you must buy the fossil item from the shop.
[+] For your character to become a herd leader, you must buy the King Chess Piece item from the shop. You may only have two herd leaders; one male, and one female. They can own separate herds or be in the same herd. Land claiming is first come, first serve. You may make an OoC thread stating that you are claiming a land with your character, but only if you already have the item and just want to make sure no one posts before you finish typing your claiming post. A claiming post, with the word "claim" or "claiming" somewhere in the title, must be posted within 24 hours of your OoC claim.
[+] Password is ruleziscoolz.
[+] To play a Guardian, a member must buy the Guardian Statue item from the shop. Each member can only create one Guardian character. However, if an animal dies, the current Guardians may choose to make it a Guardian as well (only with admin approval.) This does not count toward your one Guardian limit and does not require the item.
[+] If there are too many characters of a certain species, that species may be banned. If a species is banned, you may not make a character of that species unless you use the Forbidden Berry item from the shop.
Current species bans: None

-:-The Land of Amanija-:- Note that these are not so much rules as they are information on how things work.
[+] Any type of animal to live together in a herd.
[+] Since fish and marine animals cannot come out of water, they will have to either join a clan and herd near where they live, or choose to remain Neutral. The rivers, ocean, and and many other bodies of water are connected, meaning they have a bit of choice.
[+] Fish and marine animals can live in both saltwater or freshwater, regardless of where they live in reality. Land animals can also live in all areas. Tropical animals can learn to adjust to the tundra, rainforest animals can learn to live in the desert.
[+] If you claim a land, you will automatically join the clan that territory is located in. If you join a herd, you will also automatically join that clan. If you are already a member of another clan, your clan will be changed to your current clan.
[+] Herds may only own one territory.
[+] Rogue herds are allowed. These herds live in the shared lands and do not have a territory belonging to them. They also are not in any clan.
[+] Loners may live in any land in the Sharred Land category.
[+] All herds in a clan are allies.
[+] Herds are to treat animals in any body of water inside of their territory with kindness. If the body of water is not connected to a river or stream that leads out of the territory, the fish or other water animals must be allowed to stay.
[+] Herd leaders do not have to be mates.
[+] It is required that the owner of one of the herd leaders create a thread in the herd board listing all of the current herd members. They may also list herd rules, ranks, and other information in the same thread or another thread in the board. A mod will sticky these threads for you.
