Weary paws padded over the soft green land and muscles cried out in soreness. After the many rough terriains she had trod on, this one felt like soft feathers carassing her paws. Malaya was calm, her breathing slightly ragged from exhastion, but calm indeed. Today had been a great day for the she-wolf. She had finally trod on a land that was unclaimed.. A land where she was not attacked by dangerous wolves with the intent on killing her.
To a passing wolf, Malaya knew she looked quite abnormal. Her silky soft grey, black and brown fur would stand out like a green leaf in winter agaisnt the completely green forest.
Malaya closed her yellow orbs quickly. The green was quite sickening.. Enough to drive someone mad, however, if you were to get used to the color, the land was quite peacefull.
Malaya perked her ears curiously as the pitter patter of prey greeted her with a soft but lovely noise. Immediatly, her stomach replied by emitting a rough loud growl into the once quiet woods.
Instintively, she crept up on a small, but plump rabbit. Its brown fur somewhat stuck out agaisnt the green background. As she creeped closer and closer, suddently her stomach growled again, giving the rabbit the head start it needed, and it took off across the soft ground, into the depths of the woods.
The rabbit's paws barely made a patter on the ground, but Malaya's ears still kept it in range as she chased it, despite her muscles which disagreed with the quick movement. In a few moments, Malaya had closen in on the rabbit and taken it down, and was eating it hungrily. In a few good gulps, the rabbit was devoured, and her stomach was silenced.
--Later--
Malaya lay down in a damp, but warm den. Moisture clung to her fur, somewhat soothing her sore muscles. After she had eaten the rabbit, she had completely marked the land, claiming it with her scent. How proud the ambitious female was! She was finally an alpha! Excited, but Weary, she rest her head on her paws and let sleep take over.
