When an animals dies, they enter the afterlife, known as Beyond the Twine. They are immediately sent to the land of the Blessed, or the land of the Vile, depending on how they lived their life. If an animal dies, I will post on their profile saying whether they are sent to the Blessed or the Vile.
Once an animal is sent to their final destination, that is where they stay. The Vile cannot enter the land of the Blessed, and vice-versa. If an animal wishes to speak with an animal in the other of the two lands, they meet at the Parting. If one spirit or Guardian wishes to speak to another, they will know it.
Once in the afterlife, an animal does not need to eat or drink, and can be any temperature they choose. If they like cold, they can be cold, if they like hot, they can be hot. Along with this, they can drink water or eat plants if they wish, but they do not need to and it is only an action of pleasure now. Once in the afterlife, all predators lose the desire to eat meat, and become entirely vegetarian.
Animals that live in the water (such as fish, dolphins, etc) can float through the air, so they are no longer limited by where they can go. Likewise, land animals and insects can all swim well.
They also cannot feel physical pain.
The Vile
The land of the Vile is barren and dead. Nothing but dead plants grow and no water is to be found. There is no shelter for privacy, no terrain, no hills or cliffs. In short, there is nothing but flat, hard, ground and a few rocks of various sizes. A Vile animal could walk miles and miles without seeing anything at all.
Though in the afterlife animals do not need to eat, the Vile long for food, water, shelter, and something of value. Physical pain is absent, and even if one scratches or bites another, it feels like nothing more than a slight touch of the paw. What is worse is the emotional pain that they constantly feel. Sometimes they don't even know why they are in such emotional hurt. Furthermore, if they are attacked by another animal, instead of feeling physical pain, it adds to their emotional pain. The emotional pain is only temporary, however, and it heals at the rate physical pain does. How long exactly it lasts and have severe depends on the attack. Everything about it is like a physical attack, only changed to emotional pain.

The Blessed
The land of the Blessed is green and full of life. There are plants of every kind, some of which cannot be found any where except the land of the Blessed. There are waterfalls, lakes, rivers, the ocean, and many other water sources. There are also all kinds of terrain.
The Blessed do not long for food or water or shelter or anything else of the earth, but they still have all of these things. They never attack each other, and they rarely get into verbal fights. These rare verbal fights only occur when they are discussing things in Amanija, such as what to be done about certain matters or how much or how little they should tell certain animals. There physically pain and sickness do not exist. Animals may still sometimes be in emotional pain over things in Amanija, like feeling sorry for those hurting, wishing the wicked would change their ways, etc. Their sorrow never lasts long, however.

Spirits
Spirits are animals that have died and past into the afterlife. They have no special powers, and cannot contact the living unless they are given permission by a Guardian. If the living try to contact a spirit, the spirit will know and can then go ask the Guardian for permission The Blessed will not disobey the Guardians, no matter how much they want to, but the Vile do not care. The Vile can sneak over to the Mirror of Life to contact the living, but if the Guardians find out, the emotional pain of that particular Vile spirit will be twice as strong.
When speaking to living animals through the Mirror of Life, spirits can only contact the animals in dreams with either a ghostly image of themself or a voice.
None
Guardians
Guardians are the animals that first came to Amanija in the very first herd. Occasionally, though it is rare, when an exceptionally great animal enters the afterlife, the Guardians can choose to make that animal a Guardian as well. Only the Blessed can become Guardians in this way, and all of the first Guardians went to the land of the Blessed. All animals in the land of the Vile are just spirits.
Guardians are like animals of the Blessed except they have a few powers. Their powers can only be used if they are looking into the Mirror of Life. Guardians can
- Talk to living animals who are sleeping. They can make it so the animals only hear the Guardian's voice in their dreams, or they can put a ghostly image of themself into the animal's dreams and talk through it. It is rare for Guardians to contact the living.
- Talk to living animals while they are awake by putting a ghostly image of themself onto the Earth. While in the ghost form, they can sense everything as if they were actually on the Earth. This is an even rarer form of contact and is hardly ever used. If a living animal is contacted in this way, it means that the animal is a great importance to the Guardians, though that can be a good or a bad thing. The Guardians can still sense everything going on around them in the afterlife while appearing as an image on the earth.
- Merge the consciousness of two animals while they are sleeping. Then animals see then what they are dreaming and also what the other is dreaming and they can also be in each others dreams. This can only be done while the animals are asleep because they let their mind wander while they are asleep.
- Get two animals to meet in various ways. They can flash an image or short moving image in the animals head of another animal. They can give one animal a strong feeling to travel in a certain direction. They can make a name along with species, gender, etc stick in one animal's head so they will seek the other out. All of this can be done while the animals are awake.

Herd Leaders
Herd Leaders lead the herds. They are allies with all other herd leaders of their chosen clan, and should do their best to get along with all animals living in Amanija. The lead male and female are equal in power, and are not always mates. Sometimes they are different species even. They must be able to lead a pride with courage, wisdom, and compassion. Even small animals like insects are sometimes herd leaders. What is on the inside is what is important.

Herd Deputies are those that are second in command to the lead male and female. They temporarily take over the herd if the leaders are unable to give instructions, and permanently take over if the leaders are killed. If the lead male and female cannot agree on something, the deputy gets to pick which decision is best. Deputies also handle many other matters.

Messenger: Evangeline - Shadowcat
Messenger Apprentices: None
The Messenger is responsible for taking messages from one herd or individual animal to another. They must have an excellent memory, travel very quickly through the land, and be able to get along with those they are getting and delivering the messages to and from. There is only ever one Messenger at a time, although the Messenger may have many apprentices who can deliver messages. Animals sometimes deliver messages their selves, but the goal of the Messenger is to deliver the message must faster. The Messenger also must never tell any but the recipient the message, even if threatened. The Messenger has to remain neutral and live alone, although the apprentices, who also must remain neutral, may live with the Messenger or totally on their own.
