Ok, so I have half a farm worth of animals in my house. And more than a zoo's worth on my uncle's ranch.
House animals:
Name: Cy
Age: 8yrs
Species: Pigeon
Gender: Male
Occupation: None, former racing pigeon. (full story in my Deviant Art gallery)
Can be handled?: Yes, loves hugs and giving/getting kisses.
Name: Pyewacket
Age: 4yrs
Species: Balinese/van mix cat
Gender: Male
Occupation: House cat/King-of-the-house-and-people
Can be handled?: Yes, but is not happy with being held and not being petted along with it.
Name: Galen
Age: 2yrs
Species: Black cat (witch cat)
Gender: Male
Occupation: House cat/terror-of-the-house-and-people
Can be handled?: Yes, forces you to hold him.
Name: Fifi
Age: 11yrs
Species: Jack Russel/Beagle mix
Gender: Female
Occupation: Security dog/Scared-of-my-cats-dog
Can be handled?: Yes, and will fuss if you don't.
Name: George
Age: Hatchling at the time of picture.
Species: Mantis
Gender: Unsure, perhaps male?
Occupation: Spider and fly killer
Can be handled?: Yep, raised him from a wee little thing no bigger than a speck of dust, I need to find pictures of him as a biggy, seeing as I can't take any picture of him now, he is long gone with the frost.
Ranch Animals: All of these will have pictures as I find them, got a whole lot of pictures and have to locate them on the camera memory cards, upload em and then post em here.
Name: BraveHeart
Age: Unknown
Species: Bobcat
Gender: Male
Occupation: Wildcat thatthinks knows he owns the ranch, plus thinks his humans are the coolest things in the world, only because we don't hunt him for killing the hares and we talk to him when he is out front lounging on the porch. (with us indoors behind a screen door talking to him, for our safety of course ;D)
Can be handled?: No, no, defenately not.
Name: Firetail
Age: 2yrs
Species: hawk
Gender: Female
Occupation: Rat killer.
Can be handled?: Not really, but you can stand next to her.
Name: Hedwig
Age: Not sure, she is not native to that area and might have been brought over as a pet and then released.
Species: Snowy owl
Gender: Female
Occupation: Rat killer and snake hunter.
Can be handled?: No, but you can walk out and feed her stuff by outstreched hand if you are real slow and gentle.
Name: Peppe
Age: Unknown
Species: Skunk
Gender: Male
Occupation: Friendly little smelly thing.
Can be handled?: No and I don't think I want to try. He will let you come out and put food and water out for him, thats about it.
Name: Roots
Age: Don't know....Old
Species: Feral Hog..
Gender: Male
Occupation: Bug hunter
Can be handled?: Yeah, if you got a gun and don't mind putting a dart in him...This dude is huge and don't like to be messed with. Only reason he has a name and is considered a pet is because he eats the bugs that would kill us..Like scorpions and widows...etc. Likes to be hosed during hot weather, if you are brave enough to run out there and start it up, and he knows you are going for the water and not to get him, he might just charge ya otherwise.
More to come once I get the pictures found and loaded up.
