Name:Fisi
Age Group: Juvenile
Gender:Male
Clan: Deterahn
Herd: The Black Sun
Mate:None
Friends: Filtiarn
Family: None
Species: Spotted Hyena (Crocuta Crocuta)
Physical Description:
Fisi’s fur color is a light brown with irregular dark black spots, most of which are on his hind end. His muzzle is black with a pinkish dot on his nose. He has a well muscled neck, lined with a coarse mane of reversed fur that is light brown in color and will darken with age. Fisi is larger than most males of his species and he uses this to his advantage when hunting for food or staking a claim.
Personality:
Fisi is a bully by nature and does not have a lot of respect for those who show weaknesses. Because he is so sharp minded, Fisi is quick to catch on and not real easy to confound. But he does have a few weaknesses that make it easy to control him. Fire, he fears it like many other animals, but unlike others, he cannot bring himself to jump through it if the situation calls for it. Heights, a tree or high rock is pushing it for this hyena, and because of this he often fails at hunts if an animal takes refuge on a large rock or in a tree. The cold, this he fears above all others and it is because of this fear that he will not go out anywhere that it gets cold without a companion.
Fisi does not take lightly to being accused of a crime, in most cases he will react violently , depending on the severity of the charge and the one who brought it against him. He hates overly friendly or ‘bubbly’ personalities and refuses to be in an area for prolonged lengths of time if there are any nearby.
Voice Identity: Gary Sinise
History:
Fisi was born to a pair of captive hyenas in a zoo. Just moments after birthing, him mother abandoned Fisi to tend to his sister, who was much stronger and of course seemed to be the other one alive. Fisi had taken too long to breath when he emerged, so his mother assumed him to be still born and left him in a cold corner of the room. Needless to say, Fisi was not dead and was soon rescued by a zoo keeper that had come in to remove the dead baby. Because he was so little, it was easy to say that he could be placed in the wild and would learn how to be a wild hyena much easier than an already near adult would. So the keeper sent him away with a hyena rescue member, who raised the little beast in a way that would keep him wild, yet tame enough to be handled when the time came for heath inspections.
Being part of an animal park in Kenya was no easy task, but Fisi proved to be unlike the other hyenas from day one. It only got worse as he aged, forcing the park rangers to keep him in a different area of the park, with the younger hyenas, so that he could be the dominate one of the group. This was a bad thing among the older hyenas, who tried many a time to kill Fisi, but when he was moved in with the younger ones, they took to him like he was meant to be the leader...All except the females of course who knew it wasn’t suppose to be this way.
During a routine check up, Fisi bit a member of the staff when she tried to stick him with a needle before he was out from the dart. This earned him another dart, and when he awoke he found himself in the back of a truck on a very bumpy road. The truck made one of its sharp turns and sent him flying to the other side of it in his cage, he landed with a thud and the process was repeated when it took another turn. It was a mess of roaring outside from the engin of the vehicle and the sound was soon drowned out by Fisi’s loud whooping and crying as they made another one of their hairpin turns. This one threw Fisi’s cage out the open tailgate and sent him rolling down a hill toward a large ditch. When it hit a corner of a rock, the cage spit open, sending Fisi into a small watering hole sans cage.
Getting to his feet, he looked about for any sign of the truck or cage, which had a blanket in it for warmth, only to see that he was among thorned trees and standing above him on the slope was a large black wolf.....What a wonderful way to start an evening.
