Camas / 3 years old / Male / Elk / Undecided on Clan / No Herd Yet Camas is a Rocky Mountain Elk and he stands 5'2" at the shoulder and is 8'3" from nose to tail. He weighs in at about 708 lbs. He wears a light copper coat, a dark brown covers his face, neck and legs, and he has a beige patch on his rump. Camas tends to react to females like any other bull elk, with one exception. He prefers to keep a good opinion of himself in their eyes, so he tries hard to show them how nice he is. He doesn't just want to collect all the girls and have as many as he can, though he wouldn't be adverse to it. He is friendly and does like to get to know others, though he tends to be a bit standoffish to other males, his own species or not, simply because they are male. Camas grew up in a large herd until he was two years old. At this time he then joined a bachelor band and began to roam the countryside as others of his age happen to do. It was a pretty uneventful life, until last winter when a pack of wolves tried to hunt his bachelor band. They scattered and Camas has wandered to this place. He is not sure of his acceptance, so he may appear timid and shy at first. He will eventually warm up to others as he gets to know them. ++++++ If you would like to post with Camas, let me know in PM or on AIM (dreamxhorse) or in email (tblover1@myfairpoint.net). Thank you!
